“With his plume of petrol and purple Charlie Pigeon is a handsome chap. Wooing his beloved with romantic picnics beneath the bird feeder. As he waddles into view, he may seem a little plump to you. But he assures us, he’s just heavy feathered.”

Charlie Pigeon is made from purple herringbone Harris tweed and  grey and black yorkshire tweed.  His petrol plume has been hand needlefelted in jade merino wool. He has a beady little black resin button eye, ringed with yellow felt. His feet have been free motion embroidered. He measures 12 x9 cm. He sits on a  herringbone tweed branch. Charlie has been appliquéd onto green hand-dyed  cotton calico.

The cushion cover is made from Abraham moon pure wool tweed. It is light jade on the front and dark Jade on the back. Cushions measure 45cm x 45cm and come stuffed with a duck feather cushion inner. It fastens with a zip running along the bottom hem.

This cushion should only be hand washed in cool water, being careful not to rub the needle- felted merino wool parts of the bird. 

Because each Jack is handmade, he may have a slightly different personality to the one in the picture. He will however still be a dapper chap! These cushions are made to order so may take up to a week to complete.
