“Bold Beryl the Grey Squirrel is a garden vandal. An arch nut cracker, upside-down dismantling even the most secure of bird feeders with cold chisel teeth and deft fingers. As her quarry scatters, she twitches her bottlebrush tail to signal that dinner is served.” 

Beryl Squirrel is made from from two types of grey overstripe tweed tweed. Her tail has been needle felted with natural merino fibres. Her whiskers have been hand stitched with grey cotton and she has a black resin button eye. 

The layers of tweed have been needle felted, free motion embroidered together and backed with vintage leather, most of which were my grandads samples from his days as the manager of Leeds Tannery in the 1960’s.

As the samples are in postcard size pieces of all colours and styles, the leather used to back your keyring may be different from the picture. The keyring is copper riveted together and has a 2.5cm copper split ring.

Beryl measures approximately 9x 7cm and comes displayed on a manilla luggage label.

Because all of my tweedy creatures are hand made, they all have a distinct personality. There may be small differences between yours and the one in the picture
