Blackbird Salvage Messenger Bag
“Jack Blackbird is a solitary boy, hopping in the shadows beneath the foliage and always watching you with his yellow ringed eye. Though his feathers may not be bright, his is considered the most beautiful of songs, as he calls to you that the rain has finally ended.”
Jack Blackbird is made from black and charcoal Harris tweed with a purple overcheck and plain black tweed. He has a beady little black resin button eye, ringed with golden felt. His feet have been free motion embroidered. He measures 13 x9 cm. He sits on a 24cm herringbone tweed branch. Jack has been appliquéd onto green hand-dyed cotton calico.
The messenger bag is charcoal black and designed to be worn over the shoulder. It closes with a press stud fastening. It is made from 100% recycled materials, using salvaged waste from organic cotton clothing and fibre made from recycled plastic bottles.
Measurements: 36 wide x 40cm high with a 4cm wide gusset with an 80cm long strap.
As the calico has been hand dyed, it may look slightly different to the one in the picture. All bags are made to order and may take up to a week to complete.
